Properties of the Har-Tru and COURTMASTER® tennis nets
Our Har-Tru and Courtmaster tennis nets are, in our opinion, by far the best on the market, and their high quality will last for years. Whichever court you install our nets on, you can proudly claim to have chosen the very best quality.
life span of tennis nets
All Har-Tru and Courtmaster mesh models are equipped with a double upper mesh band. In most cases this is a PVC coating treated against fungal attack. The two layers of mesh tape are the strongest in the industry.
The polyester line used for Har-Tru and Courtmaster nets is the thickest that can be sewn by a twin needle sewing machine. It is also made of the most durable and tear-resistant material used for netting tapes. Our mesh edgings are sewn with topstitching, which makes the mesh line much less frayed when it is cut. All upper netting edgings of our Har-Tru and Courtmaster nets are folded at the bottom edge to create a clean, beautiful finish.
.smaller mesh size
In contrast to the industry standard of 4.45 cm, all of our Har-Tru and Courtmaster nets have a mesh size of 4.36 cm.
The smaller mesh size guarantees that no balls can get stuck in the net or fly through it, not even in the top ten men's tennis. These quality nets are woven from strong polypropylene line, and four of our models are additionally equipped with a hand-woven six-row double net at the top edge. The six top rows of a tennis net are the ones that are subjected to the most stress, which is why these double net rows significantly increase the life of the net. The mesh knots are additionally heat-fixed so that they cannot shift and the net always retains its shape.
Sturdy side netting tapesAll Har-Tru and Courtmaster tennis nets are equipped with 15.8 mm fiberglass rods on the sides. The side netting strips are 7.62 cm wide and made of 510 g matt black PVC, which is folded in on both sides to form a clean finish. We are the only net manufacturer who folds the side netting.
Many net manufacturers use side netting tapes made of 397 g PVC, which are between 5.71 and 6.35 cm wide. The side borders of Har-Tru and Courtmaster nets are 7.62 cm wide. They are also equipped with two rows of black, quilted polyester line (same quality as the upper netting band).
Flexi-loop tension cable
Har-Tru and Courtmaster tennis nets have a special device called Flexi-loop at the end of the tension cable. Thanks to its loop shape, the Flexi-loop makes it much easier to attach to the tensioning crank of the post and to tighten the cable. We are currently the only company producing tennis nets with Flexi-loops.
The bottom edging bands on all normal tennis nets are 4.45 cm wide. The edging bands are all made of matte 510 g heavy PVC and sewn with two rows of black polyester line - the same braided line and also quilted as on the side edging bands. The bottom edgings of Har-Tru and Courtmaster nets are folded in for a neat finish.
